The Beauty Project Part I: Love This Life

I rush
Because there's a million and three things that need to be done
Because if I don't rush
The disgruntled power suited high heels will trample over me in the subway
And because I rush
I've only got time for sample sized portions of the beauty around me
So I grab and go
Taking tiny bites as I keep it moving
. . .
The Beauty Project is my personal attempt to regain some sanity
To slow it down just a tad
To break out of a routine
Taking my sweet time to marvel at the beauty that is around me
The stuff that keeps my heart beating
. . .
Part I: Love This Life
He said he could tell I was an artist
Apparently I have "the look"
He's a solutions strategists
Working with artists, athletes and business owners
Helping them define their mission statements, goals and outline a strategy map
To get them accomplishing what makes them happy
We spoke honestly and openly
A sweet unarming conversation
About unrestrained passion
About the stuff that keeps you alive and breathing
About guilt-free happily-fearless living
Far from verbose
A simplicity that made these familiar words brand new
The beauty came in his form of honesty
Laid back approach he spoke from the soul
A matter-of-fact realness
. . .
In walks Chelsea, his client
A beautiful film actress
She joined in as we spoke about must-read books
About living your best life
No agenda
No Motive
Just an authentic conversation
A glow in their eyes
There was a relaxed happiness that radiated
The kind that revives the soul
A beautiful connection with two strangers
I was inspired
With a brand new outlook
Getting late so I headed home
Slowing my pace as I walked through Penn Station
Realizing that the best way to live
Is to Love This Life
. . .
