Taking my time and opting to walk home rather than take the train
I absolutely LOVE living on the Lower East Side
I've lived in the same apt for almost 2 years now
The time to say goodbye is approaching faster than I would like...
I've lived in the same apt for almost 2 years now
The time to say goodbye is approaching faster than I would like...
Looking for a new apt
Would love to stay in LES but not sure if that's gonna happen
Anyway
My walks never get boring
Within a 1mile radius there are amazing restaurants, hidden vintage gems, art galleries and very interesting people....
(I have seen the most insane tattoos in my neighborhood)
A tiny selection of my fave places:
1. WHOLE FOODS WHOLE FOODS WHOLE FOODS!!!!!
Anyone who knows me knows that I am hopelessly obsessed with whole foods.
(the have the most amazing granola... keeps me coming back)
I've been to a few around the city and quickly concluded that the LES store on 2nd ave is the best!
Two large floors of organic goodies
And a top floor filled with natural hair and skin care products
2. The Three Monkeys
Oct. 2008 I came to NY with a few of my friends for winter break
It was my first time in the city and I fell in love
We somehow stumbled into this spot late one night and I was able to bargain for shawarmas
The best shawarmas in the the city....
Fast forward and a year later I live right by this delicious spot
Unfortunately it burnt down a few months ago
But its memory remains
...
3. Bondi Road
A hidden gem on Rivington between Clinton and Suffolk
A little Australian restaurant with excellent food and drinks
An all you can eat and drink for $20 special
and a very fun staff
love it!
4. A Little Wicked
I discovered this wonderful vintage boutique on one of my walks over a year ago
Easy, chic, unique vintage finds
And
...
I know this is late
But I was beyond excited to see Ms. Rihanna strolling down my neighborhood for her What's My Name Video:
Hate the outfit
but love the setting!
