Interiors

So, today I walked into a Chipotle restaurant in Chelsea.

There was something about this very Chipotle. I mean, I've been to a couple before to get my food and peace out. But this very Chipotle in Chelsea had really beautiful architecture and interior.

Although it was in a small space, it seemed very spacious due to its clean and simple design. Something about the mod furniture and the layout was very nice. Stands out from any other Chipotle I've been too.

Basically I am kinda obsessed with architecture and interior decorating. I absolutely love walking into a restaurant, office or hotel and just admiring the interior. I especially love restaurants because good decor just sets a certain mood and makes your dining experience even more enjoyable.

So anytime I step into a restaurant, the first thing I do (before looking through the menu) is observe. I observe the color palate, the textures, the lighting, the furniture, the layout and the shapes. Men, I love interiors so much that I have this secret dream to open up my own restaurant. Lol.

So with that being said, I researched some pretty awesome interiors for this post:

Here's a restaurant called Kurve. It's a Thai place in New York designed by Karim Rashid. Its very bright, very pink and super cute!! Lots of circles and ovals to go with the "curve" theme.

Next is a spot called Toast in San Francisco. Looks like a lot going on but I love the browns. Its earthy but has a touch of mod with the hanging lamps and flooring.

A spot called BanQ in Boston. I love earth tones so of course this one caught my eye. I just love the waves. Kinda reminds me of some sort of maze.

Olivomare, a restaurant in London. Its like a breath of fresh air. Very clean and simple with intricate details that make the interior even more interesting. I love the room with the red wallpaper.

This one's an open library in Turkey. I'm not a fan of libraries but I could study here. Its very refreshing and serene. Muted tones with a hint of color. Notice the lighting. Its these little details that make the difference

So yeah i love simple and refreshing interiors. This is an apartment in Milan. I love light and this apartment looks like it gets a good amount of sunlight everyday. Beautiful. Being able to watch the sunrise and set in the comfort of your home must be nice.

It wouldn't be right for me to write a whole post on interiors and architecture without mentioning my school - Parsons the New School for Design:

And those are just a few images of my school. I love attending a design school. There is just so much beauty around me. Lol!

And I end with the best dressed lady at the Golden Globes:

Penelope Cruz in Armani. Love this lady. Just stunning!
