Both Sides

Moons and junes and ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way you feel

I really don't know love at all.

So I didnt want to start off talking about love again but..... as I was partially watching "You've got mail" while completing one of my final projects, I heard a quote about Joni Mitchell. It brought me back to my days of watching the move Life as a House over and over. That has to be one of the most beautiful movies. but anyway I loved the movie so much that I bought the soundtrack and one of my favorite songs on it is "Both Sides Now" by Joni Mitchell. Coincidentally, that same song is in one of my other favorite movies, Love Actually. Here's a you tube link in case you're interested:

Its a simple song, all about the ups and downs of life, the good and the bad... and in the end she figures that she really doesn't know life at all...

and maybe we really won't ever know....

but i think about it all the time, the ups and the downs. and yes we've heard it a million and three times before, but the downs make the ups so much better, without the bad we couldn't appreciate the good; day comes after night.... and many many more.

and i think about it all the time. all the time. cuz I truly believe it. I have a bunch of quotes that I live by, and one of them is "every disappointment is a blessing". I can't count how many times this has proven to be true in my life. And thats the best way to live. Knowing that your present situation is nothing compared to your future glory...

next is vintage vogue....

Another one of my favorite quotes comes from Mr. Andre 300 (who I love) in the song, I can't wait: "you hoped to meet a gentleman one day, well this is that"

going along with that are these images of ladies. Classy and proper and I love it cuz i'm all for that 1950s woman cuz i think we can still be proper, classy, dreamers, smart, and strong. all at the same time...

Last but not least is fight club

yup fight club cuz i absolutely LOVE that movie (wow... i say love a whole lot. lol). I think its pretty deep and I learn something new each time I watch it. I really love the costuming and how it highlights the dynamic nature of the characters...

sigh... i can never get enough

And ice cream castles in the air
